Field Service Engineer

I am currently working for Kerridge Computer Company, in Bristol. My current position requires me to travel to customers sites in order to diagnose and fix computer and printer hardware problems as well as configure and install some software problems as well. This requires a basic understanding of Unix and an in depth working knowledge of Microsoft software (including Windows 3.1 to 98, Win NT and office packages.)

Network Administrator

I am responsible for Systems administration and sales (UNIX/windows/etc), Router configurations, Site installations, Network/System Security, Strategy Planning, Documentation, Investigation of new technologies and other related tasks. Also, dealing with all sales calls and visiting customers.

Technical Support advisor

I was working in a call centre environment offering technical support to 130 customers per day requiring connection to the Internet. In this position I was required to have a good knowledge of computers and networking, as well as various software issues. This also allowed me to expand and develop my web design skills using macromedia dreamweaver and fireworks as well as other graphics packages.

Marketing and Administration Manager

During my time with the company I was responsible for marketing on and off the internet, using all available marketing & sales techniques. I was also responsible for designing and maintaining financial systems for the company.

Self Employed

I was Self-employed as part of a partnership in a catering firm. This allowed me to develop and learn all my skills in computing and administrative techniques beyond those taught at university.

Various Temporary assignments

These assignments allowed me to gain various office, customer service and telecommunications skills through a variety of employers including Norwich Union Direct & Trianco Redfyre
